About the role

As a Deal Analyst at Arbolus, you will join a high-impact team that supports investment professionals with timely, actionable insights on market activity, investment opportunities, and competitive intelligence. This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of live deals and evolving markets, helping funds make better investment decisions.

This role is ideal for ambitious graduates or early-career professionals who want to accelerate their understanding of private equity, M&A, and strategic research in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

Key responsibilities you will be in charge of:

Research & Market Intelligence:

  • Track ongoing and potential deals including M&A, capital raises, restructurings, and other strategic transactions.

  • Conduct secondary research on target companies and emerging sectors to identify investment themes and potential acquisition opportunities.

  • Monitor market developments and investment “hot spots” that may attract interest from funds and strategic buyers.

  • Collaborate with industry experts to gather unique insights on deal dynamics, company performance, and market trends.

Insight Generation & Client Enablement:
  • Deliver deal insights and market summaries tailored to client deal contexts and investment theses.

  • Help account managers stay ahead of the market by providing early signals and timely intelligence on live deals.

  • Prepare clear, client-ready documents including market summaries, opportunity briefs etc

Strategic Engagement & Impact:
  • Become a trusted thought partner to internal stakeholders by proactively identifying valuable insights and deal angles.

  • Partner with sales and client-facing teams to support account growth through data-backed insights and compelling narratives.

  • Contribute to internal knowledge repositories, ensuring key market insights and deal intelligence are retained and easily accessible.

Requirements to succeed in this role:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.

  • Experience: 1–2 years of relevant experience in investment research, strategy, consulting, or market intelligence.

  • Mindset: Curious, analytical, and commercially aware—with a passion for understanding deals, companies, and markets.

  • Skills: Strong research and synthesis abilities (using both public and proprietary sources)

  • Comfort with Excel and the ability to structure and analyze company-level data.

  • Clear written and verbal communication.

  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a deadline-driven setting.
